Dear School Parents:
With Fall quickly approaching, it’s already time to start thinking about the next school year. The school and Kent Station Pharmacy are working together with school families to have their medicines pre-packaged in individual dose packets. Kent Station Pharmacy is a local independent pharmacy that will dispense your child’s medication(s) on a daily or as needed basis and is in full compliance with State and Federal laws. Each medication your child takes will be dispensed by our pharmacy and packaged, sealed and sorted according to day and time of administration. This includes prescription, nonprescription (OTC) items, vitamins, creams, inhalers and Epi-pens.
All medication will be prepared by Kent Station Pharmacy and delivered to school once requested by nursing staff and all information is obtained. All unused medication will be sent home at the end of the school term. If your child takes over the counter (OTC) items, such as Benadryl, Advil, Tylenol, etc., please check with the health center as they may stock them.
Prescription medication will be billed directly to your insurance company. You will be responsible for a one-time school processing/registration charge of $24.50 for the full school year and a $12.50 monthly administration fee, which includes the cost of packaging and delivering all of your child’s medications, including refills, directly to the school.
You can register for this service online or by mail/fax/email; the following page will walk you through the registration process. When you register, we will REQUIRE that a credit card number be placed on file. The cost of medication not covered by insurance as well as co-payments, deductibles, and the cost of any requested over-the-counter items will be billed directly to your credit card. Please register at least 30 days prior to the start of school to avoid late charges associated with rush service.
PLEASE NOTE: It is important that ALL students register with the pharmacy at the beginning of the school year. If your child is currently not on any daily medications, only the $24.95 registration fee will be charged. Registering now will help avoid delays in the dispensing of any medications (prescription or OTC) that may be necessary throughout the course of the year due to unforeseen circumstances.
We welcome you back and look forward to providing our services to your student throughout your student’s stay at school. If you need any assistance, please contact us at (860)-927-3725 or by email at schoolinfo@kentstationpharmacy.com
Best Regards,
